I just started porting models but everytime I use the deattachment tool in 3DMax, the model looks polygonal(or square-ish) and if I use the smooth effect it disables after importing into brawl box What am I supposed to do? example

Is the Smooth modifier under the Skin modifier in 3DS?

Is the Smooth modifier under the Skin modifier in 3DS? Yes, but it only says "skin" and "smooth" in the smooth option there is an option that says "auto smooth" and there are 30 button numers down, and when I export into dae, an error message pops up

Ok....
Well, I don't know if you know what you're doing in 3DS, but here's what you should do:
-Add a Smooth modifier to each polygon -Press 1 in the Smooth modifier -Add the Skin modifier and rig everything -Export
