So I'm trying to put Soul Calibur IV's Darth Vader over Ganondorf, following Beyond's tutorial on the Brawl Vault. But then it gets to the step where you have to weight the vertices... When I try to weight them to Ganon's LeftArmJ, bringing up the Weight window and pressing 1, after that I move Ganon's arm to test... And just the skeleton moves. [no pic, see next picture for why] ------ And then other times, like so: When I select LeftArmJ, it selects his wrist instead. And that goddamn skeleton still isn't rigged to the model. Everything was going honky-dory while following Beyond's tutorial up until THIS point. So basically, I've no clue what I've done wrong. [edit: okay, it's something to do with the Vader model, as rigging other models has been going much better... Besides, the polygon count on it is probably too high anyway >.>]

It's a little hard to see... So, in other words, you want some transparency there?

Yeah, I guess. I'm just not sure how to get that area to go transparent... The character icon itself is transparent in that spot.

MiscData[30] > MenSelchrFaceI_TopN > Preview it Select the correct animation and scale bones 'bg' and 'frame' to X:0 and Y:0.

I'm just gonna use this thread for my problems from now on, editing the OP as I go. In case you've skipped down to the very bottom, I'll post the problem in a new post as well. Everything was going honky-dory while following Beyond's tutorial up until THIS point. So basically, I've no clue what I've done wrong. [in other news: who's a sexy member? DIS GAI] [edit: okay, it's something to do with the Vader model, as rigging other models has been going much better... Besides, the polygon count on it is probably too high anyway >.>]

: DDDDD I FIGURED IT OUT!! All this time, the Skin modifier has been over the Edit Mesh one. I had no idea they had to be in a certain order to take effect. I'm so happy right now. You don't even know.
